The reason why Mark Hurd lost his job as CEO of HP was never really revealed. But he is said to have cross the lines. Amid all the allegations that he harassed Jodie Fisher, a former actress and reality-TV personality who worked for HP as a marketing consultant, mark resigned the company on August 6. The claim was settled as Fisher denied having sexual relationship with married Hurd. The matter turned more complicated when HP investigation said the that Hurd had not violated any sexual harassment policies even though he did submit inaccurate expense reports to cover up his relationship with Fisher.

According to Bloomberg News, "Hurd submitted receipts for expenses ranging from $1,000 to $20,000 over two years, including meals and travel, that should have been labeled as personal and not related to business, said a person familiar with the situation." Soon after his resignation he was appointed as Co-President of Oracle (ORCL).
