PM's Punditry: Biggest Irony at G20

Bangalore: It is an irony to witness Prime Minister Manmohan Singh giving advice to other European leaders on economic crisis management when his own country is sailing in the same boat as others and can drown at any moment if there is further delay in appropriate initiations.

In the G20 summit he was noticed giving economic wisdom to the leaders who have an equally dysfunctional union of disparate states and who managed to stay afloat without the wisdom imparted by the worthy men from faraway lands. Manmohan Singh after arriving in Los Cabos, Mexico, says, “The world is in deep trouble. I hope the G-20 will come up with constructive proposals to get the world out of this crisis” (as quoted by The Economic Times).

Singh was also found advising the Prime Minister of Greece, Papandreou who recently took over the position. In an interview with The Economic Times, Papandreou said that he shares the same outlook as Singh on the economic situation and he said about Singh that, “He was talking about creating a system which will prepare our planet to spot these crisis' before they break out and that's why we are saying we have similar views concerning what G-20 should do. So we are counting on India.”
