Mumbai Tops the List of World's 10 Cheapest Cities


BANGALORE: In the world today, lot of research goes into the decision of where to live; as it affects you personally as well as socially. How much you earn is the question of the past, but how much you save after all expenses is the current hot. Urban cities have a lot to offer in terms of opportunity and finances, to which thousands are attracted to come and live. Here are the top five cities in the world rated as the cheapest cities, with low cost of living as per The Economist Intelligence Unit’s recent report. The list is based on the average cost of food items, fuel and transport in around 100 cities with New York as the base city.

#1 Mumbai (India): Mumbai is the city of dreams for most Indians. It functions as the financial center of India and is fast becoming the hub of Domestic and MNCs. Mumbai caters well to her residents, by providing them with proper amenities at a lower cost. Though for most Indians living in Mumbai seems to be a nightmare, but around the world, Mumbai has the best minimal price for a living. The housing rent and food prices are relatively cheaper when compared to other major cities in India.
