Investopad Plays Host To Conquest's First Networking Session


BENGALURU: Delhi-NCR witnessed the first networking session of BITS Pilani's International Startup Challenge, Conquest on Sunday. Top level VCs, innovators, and thought leaders were present at the event to play mentors for participating startups and helps founders to help them pursue their dreams with equity-less cash prizes reports The Economics Times.

More than 1200 applications from varied sectors took part this year in the event. Applications ranged from sectors such as Healthcare, Internet of Things, and even Virtual Reality. Parameters such as sustainability, user traction and model of the applications were carefully scrutinized during the event.

The top 50 startups were shortlisted after 3 rigorous rounds of screening for the Networking Sessions which will be held in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. An insightful experience is offered by Conquest for the participating startups as mentorship in five major categories which includes Fundraising, Product Management, Customer Acquisition, Tech, and Scaling up & Operations is provided.

Dharmendra Yashovardhan, Co-founder, Ixigo shared his insights in the session. In his speech, he talked about operations and sustainability of the startup’s ventures. The event also saw Swati Bhargava, Co-founder, CashKaro working with the startups in helping them improve their revenue models. In addition to this, established startups such as PayTm, Grofers, OYO Rooms and others were also present at the event in order to lend mentorship and support to young aspirants.

Mumbai and Bangalore will host the subsequent networking sessions on July, 9 and 10 after which Finalists of Conquest 2016 will be announced. The Grand Finale will be held on August, 28 in New Delhi at ITCBSE.

India's largest student-run startup challenge, Conquest has DCB Bank as its title sponsor with association with Exotel and CitrusPay.
