India's 'Business King' Ratan Tata Retires

"Be your own man, you should take your own call and you should decide what you want to," Ratan Tata said in a recent interview when asked what he would like to advice to Mistry.

On asking about the company’s future plans for West Bengal after the Singur dud, Ratan Tata said, “I lived six years in Jamshedpur, at that time I used to be in Calcutta off and on. I have an affinity to this part of the country which is why we tried to bring a car manufacturer facility here. Who knows, there could be a Tata Motor factory somewhere in West Bengal. We are an Indian group. There is no bias, no prejudice. Not at all. The group will not walk away from Bengal," as quoted by Hindustan Times.

Tata group is the most well known brand both in India and internationally, top CEO’s of the world said. And Ratan Tata very well carried out the largely Indian- owned family business to a global conglomerate, an Assocham survey said.

Now the question that every heart asking is Ratan Tata's departure from the iconic Bombay House in downtown Mumbai marks the end of an era in which India looked outward and its business went global or Cyrus will be able to take it to the next level?
