Grasim Appoints K.K. Maheshwari as Managing Director

Mumbai: The Board of Directors of Grasim Industries, an Aditya Birla Group Company, appointed K.K. Maheshwari as the Managing Director of the company. Speaking on this development, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman, Grasim, said, "Over the years, Maheshwari has made stellar contributions to the group in leadership roles across businesses that he has led. The move to appoint a managing director for Grasim will help give a greater focus to the company. Given Maheshwari's expertise and experience, I am sure, Grasim will achieve even higher growth and further enhance stakeholder value." In a career spanning over three decades, Maheshwari has held senior roles, including leading the Group's chemicals and trading business globally, and as wholetime director of Aditya Birla Nuvo as well, a company statement said. He was transferred to Grasim in April 2010 as business head, pulp and fibre business and was named whole time director of the company. Maheshwari is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
