Famous People Who Found Success After Age 40

BANGALORE: We all want our lives to take a shape by the time we enter our thirties and we all have well thought out plans laid down for that. Eventually, we end up rattling about that fact that we are nowhere close to the goals we aspired for. A lot of us convalesce from it after a very long time. The road to success is not a bed of roses.

The bright side is that there are many success stories of those who faced massive failures, which manifest that it’s never too late to be what you always wanted to be.

The following are some stories, of such underdogs who went on to change the world, as compiled by Business Insider.

Momofuku Ando:

A Taiwanese-Japanese business veteran who invented Nissan Food Products Co. Ltd. Ando is renowned for his invention of Instant Noodles and Cup Noodle in war stricken Japan. For the everlasting delight of students who live in dormitories and hostels, Ando invented those small handy packets of flavored dry noodles that require just few minutes to boil.

Momofuku Ando simply concocted the menu for chicken flavored noodles in a shack behind his office in Ikeda in Japan. His company Nissan now produces 16 flavors of what it calls Top Ramen and Cup Noodles. Ando insisted that his noodles be tasty, inexpensive and easy to prepare, which truly caught the attention of people.

It is surprisingly true that Ando ran many clothing companies in Taiwan before he started a company producing salt called Nissan, which went on to be known by the name of its product ‘Top Ramen.’

He tiled his spot in junk food history at the age of 48. He died at the age of 96, because of heart failure.
