1. Brooklyn Brewery

Brooklyn Brewery Co Founders Steve Hindy and Tom Potter, had their company logo designed in 1987 by none other than Milton Glaser, world’s most famous logo designer. The Brooklyn Brewery was originally named as Brooklyn Eagle Beer. Milton Glaser recalls the business meeting when two guys named Tom Potter, an investment banker, and Steve Hindy, a journalist visited him and wanted him to design a logo for a new beer brewed in Brooklyn.

Tom and Steve recommenced the Brooklyn Brewery in 1984 when breweries business had shrunk almost to none in Brooklyn. They were passionate about the possibilities of Brooklyn Brewery. Milton says that initially Tom and Steve wanted an Eagle as their logo but he talked Steve and Potter out of the idea. "Come on, you've got Brooklyn. Who needs an eagle?", recalls Steve of Milton's comment on the original company name, as quoted by Inc.com.  The logo which was finally created really helped to move forward Tom and Steve with fund raising and give Brooklyn Brewery recognition.
