Dell EMC Dominates Storage Systems Market: Gartner

NEW DELHI: Dell EMC, part of Dell Technologies, has been recognized as the leader in Gartners Magic Quadrant for Solid-State Arrays report for the third year in a row.

Dell EMC was listed in the August 2016 report under its former name EMC. In the largest technology merger in history, Dell completed its $60 billion deal to acquire EMC on September 7.

EMC has held leadership position in this quadrant since its inception three years ago which, it believes, is largely due to their market-leading "XtremIO all-flash array" (AFA), the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

Released at "EMC World 2015", XtremIO supports new larger all-flash array configurations, expanding on-demand capabilities and consolidating workloads at unprecedented levels of performance and availability.

"We take great pride in sustaining our position as a leader in the Solid State Arrays Magic Quadrant, and thank our customers for the trust they have placed in EMC," said Syed Masroor, Director, Flash Storage, Dell EMC.
