BANGALORE: Do you know Christy Walton, the richest woman in this Universe and far richer than many male business tycoons? Indeed YES! Women have surpassed all the barriers and have emerged as the pioneer at every level. Even the boards with women provide better financial returns than those without women.

Surprisingly, the women-owned businesses have driven around $3 trillion economic forces that have sustained over 23 million jobs all over the world. An analysis of return on equity (ROE) data of top 100 Indian companies (BSE 100) by Randstad, a leading HR services provider, says that companies with women on their boards have a positive impact on ROE.

The study reveals that the board of a private sector company, run by a professional CEO with a mix of both men and women, helped ROE rise by 4.4 percent in 2014 over the last year. In contrast, a similar company with a men-only board saw its ROE rise by a mere 1.8 percent in the same period.
