Building Online Brand is Now a Doddle

BENGALURU: With the rise in the use of internet, more and more people are drawn to the concept of e-commerce. This unprecedented rise has made many traditional retailers take note and start to sale their products through the e-commerce portals without getting their due recognition. However, in a recent development, GoDaddy, the publicly traded internet domain registrar and web hosting company has decided to help these small businesses get their recognition by providing them with unique web identities.

In this era of expanding e-commerce, the SMEs often do not get the recognition because of the presence of thousands of listed sellers. GoDaddy which has more than 14 million customers worldwide and more than 62 million domain names under management, the company offers small business owner’s tools to name their idea, build its online presence, attract customers as well as manage their businesses.

As part of the agreement, GoDaddy will provide domain names to more than 400,000 Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) listed under the online retailer, ShopClues which is considered India’s first and largest managed marketplace that is estimated to ship every month more than 3.5 million items across various categories around the country.

The partnership is aimed at helping small businesses direct their customers to their Shopclues listings page with the help of just a click as well as build their own online identity. The deal reportedly enables their 400,000 merchants seller base to build its own online identity apart from using ShopClues platform to get access to potential customers. The customers using the ShopClues platform can easily discover and purchase products from their favored clients with ease.
