# Mobile and electronics gets cheaper

Giving uplift to Modi’s “Make in India” program, Indian equipment manufacturers will be benefited exclusively as there is a reduction in custom duties over 22 items including mobile and tablets. This includes wafers for manufacture of integrated circuit (IC) modules, for smart cards LED drivers and MCPCB for LED lights, fixtures and lamps.

So this confirms that Indian mobile makers will be seen smiling in 2015, on the other hand, the non-Indian phone makers have to try harder to boost their sales in Indian markets.
