Are Foreign Investors getting fed up with India?


Bangalore: Foreign investors are having trouble in coping with the rules and attitude by the government or the policy makers as well as the people of India. This may give rise to loss in future for the investors and to our country, as the foreign investors might just lose interest from India and move to some other country. The investors loss would be the market that they want to achieve wouldn’t be there.

Telenor, a Norway based telecom company has already warned to quit from the country if the government approves of the proposal to auction the airwaves at 13 times more than the price in 2008. Sigve Brekke, Telenor Executive Vice-President & Asia head said in an interview recorded by Economic Times, “If these recommendations become policy, we will be forced to exit India. It will be impossible for us to continue operations here.” He also added, “This is not a threat, it is a reality.”
