Jeff Bezos is an entrepreneur and investor and also a technology entrepreneur, who played an important role in the growth of e-commerce as the founder and CEO of Amazon.com, an online merchant of books and a wide variety of products. Amazon.com became the largest retailer on the World Wide Web (www) and a model for Internet sales. In 2013, Bezos purchased The Washington Post newspaper.
Untill March 2015, Bezos's personal wealth is supposedly estimated to be U.S.$ 50 billion, due in part to a recent spike in Amazon's stock price, ranking him 15th in the Forbes billionaires list. He started his career by building a garage in 1995 and by 1998 he was in charge of a $22.1 billion market presence.
