5 Indian Firms In Forbes List Of Most Innovative Companies


BANGALORE: Forbes' annual list of ‘World’s Most Innovative Companies’ has been topped by California-based global cloud computing company Salesforce for the fourth year in a row. And, five Indian companies have made through the list that investors think are most likely to “generate big, new growth ideas”.

Forbes said, "The innovation premium is a measure of how much investors have bid up the stock price of a company above the value of its existing business based on expectations of future innovative results like new products, services and markets," reports PTI.

Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), the Indian- based fast moving consumer goods company has ranked 14th in the list. HUL recorded an innovation premium of 54.7 per cent.  HUL operates in various business segments such as soaps, oral and skin care, beverages and many more.

Hindustan Unilever's distribution covers over 2 million retail outlets across India directly and its products are available in over 6.4 million outlets in the country.
