5 CEOs that Truly Deserve to be Fired

Bangalore: Making mistakes is natural, but once it turns into a habit it can cost you a lot. CEOs are often honoured for their positions as they control the resources and personal wealth of the company. But certain mistakes by them can do horrific damage to companies hurting investors, employees, suppliers and the communities that rely on their organizations. So the only solution to this is to get rid of such CEOs who don’t want to learn from the mistakes they make. Listed are 5 CEOs who deserve to be fired!

Steve Ballmer, Microsoft

Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft is no doubt the worst CEO today. If the largest publicly traded American company is out of some various fastest growing and most profitable tech markets, then its only Ballmer to be blamed. He not only put company’s growth and profit at stake but ecosystem of others companies like Dell, Hewlett Packard and Nokia as well. His bad leadership qualities can easily be judged as he destroyed Microsoft’s shareholder value and jobs.

After dumping Zune, dumping its tablet, dumping Windows CE and other mobile products, Microsoft is still the same company Mr. Ballmer took control over a decade ago.  The PC Company, nothing more, as demand for PCs shifts to mobile.  The bet he made on Windows 8 and as well as the future of Dell, HP, Nokia and others was years too late.  This was the most insane bet a CEO could ever make and one that would have been avoided entirely had the Microsoft Board replaced Mr. Ballmer years ago with a CEO that understands the fast pace of technology shifts and would have kept Microsoft current with market trends. Though he’s 19 on Forbes list of billionaires, Ballmer should not be allowed to take such hard to believe risks with investor money and employee jobs.  Probably the best thing he could do is get retire to enjoy his fortune rather than deprive investors and employees of building theirs.
