Glassdoor.Com has rated the top global CEOs based on how many employees approve of their leadership. Employees have voted for their CEOs from the mid of March last year to the mid of March this year. The top 15 highest rated CEOs of 2012 are as follows –

1. Apple CEO – Tim Cook

Approval Rating from March 16, 2011 to March 15, 2012 – 97 Percent

Approval Rating from March 16, 2010 to March 15, 2011 – 95 Percent (Steve Jobs)

Tim Cook is the present CEO of Apple Inc. and has been rated as the most approved CEO in this list. Though his tenure in Apple has only been less than a year, the employees’ there seem to be opening up to him. According to an Apple employee, I think leadership is doing an amazing job. We have the best management team anywhere.” Despite very high-standards, Cook has managed to reach the excellence bar at Apple.    

2. Ernest & Young CEO – James ‘Jim’ Turley

Approval Rating from March 16, 2011 to March 15, 2012 – 95 Percent

Approval Rating from March 16, 2010 to March 15, 2011 – 83 Percent

Turley is also on the list of most approved of CEOs of this year. Though Turley has been surrounded by controversies and various speculations, he is liked by most of the employees at E&Y. As his rank has improved over the last year, his leadership skills have improved too. He has steered the company in times of despair and has risen above its rival, Deloitte. The company’s revenue has also increased under Turley’s leadership.
