Those days no more exist where the role of an Indian woman is confined only to a wife, mother, sister or homemaker. Women are now educated, confident and bold to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. In 2012 Dell executed a study which stated that despite the fact that the country considerably vary with high inflation, slowing growth, and other operational worries, India still is a perfect country to start a business for women. They were two close friends and both had a passion for art. But despite being good artists they were not too successful at selling their paintings realizing the fact that the painting career was not working for them. Then one day, they comprehended that they should put their creative ideas in such things that people will be interested to buy and will be affordable as well. And this single thought brought “Paaduka” into existence.

Once they had the idea there was no looking back. Launching a Facebook page in 2011 they decided to market their products in their college itself. After they become pretty famous and started grabbing many orders the college suggested to join Tata NEN initiative. Also known as Tata First Dot, it encourages students to start up businesses even before they graduate. Both Hamsa and Priyanka are now successful business women.
