Had Enzo Ferrari kept his pride in check, there would have been no Lamborghini in competition. The story behind is, Ferruccio Lamborghini was a tractor manufacturer who had an interest in luxury automobiles like Ferrari and owned one himself.

While checking out his Ferrari, he noticed that its clutch is broken and it was of the same variety used in tractors. Lamborghini tried to bring it to the attention of Enzo Ferrari for a replacement, but the Ferrari owner dismissed this saying he is truck maker and questioned his knowledge of race cars.
