10 People to Shape Budget 2013


Bangalore: With the upcoming budget session, everyone is looking forward for an ease in their wallets. The Finance Minister will play the major role in the upcoming session.

The Finance Minister is not alone in this role. Some of the best economist, analyst and administrative officers have teamed up with the Finance Minister to prepare the upcoming budget.

Here is the list of some of the names who will be playing a major role in the upcoming Budget session as reported by Yahoo.

1. P Chidambaram

This year’s budget is dependent on the Finance Minister, P Chidambaram. Chidambaram is a well reputed corporate lawyer who practices in the Supreme Court of India and also in several High Courts across the country.

This is the third time, he has been appointed as the Finance Minister of India. He has already played an important role in the 1997-1998 years budget. This year also, everyone is looking on him.

2. Raghuram Rajan

This Indian Economist serves as the Chief Economic Adviser to the Indian Government. He is also a well known figure among some of the top class Business Schools around the globe.

Rajan has also served the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as the Chief Economist. He was the youngest Economic Counselor and Director of Research at the International Monetary Fund. At present he is serving the Prime Minister of India as the honorary economic adviser.

He presented a paper in 2005 stating about an upcoming economic crisis. Though that paper was criticized negatively, in 2009 The Wall Street Journal called it to be true and also blamed others for not accepting it.
