10 New Richest Indians


BANGALORE: India is home to the 6th highest number of billionaires, which houses about 70 of them. The list is topped by Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries. This year the number of billionaires rose with an addition of ten new joiners, some of them who lost their spot before have made it back while others are fresh entries to the list.  Mumbai has the highest number of Indian billionaires with 33 of them residing there. The number of billionaires in India is expected to keep growing in the coming years.

Siddharth Lal: He is the Managing director of Eicher Motor, one of the leading manufacturers of commercial vehicles based out of Gurgaon. Lal has held many other executive positions across various boards. He is also part of world’s international forum for transportation.

He joined the Indian list of Billionaires this year, where the family’s stake in the firm increased 2 fold over the past 12 months. He has a total income of 4.7 crores.

P. RamaPrasad Reddy: He is the Co-founder of the Indian drug maker, Aurobindo Pharmaceuticals. He joined the billionaires club after his company’s stocks tripled in the past year. He and his family have 38 percent shares in the company with an interest of $1 billion.

The complete details of his income and shares are unknown; as the management has declined to comment on it.

GMR Rao: He is the founder of GMR Group, a company that is into Energy, Large Urban Developments, and Airports, known for building and operating large world class assets. He has personal fortune worth $1 billion.

He is the third most generous person in India in terms of giving back to society. He has Warren Buffet as his role model, who he feels taught him the ways of giving back to society.
