9. Jean-Paul Agon
L'Oreal

Jean-Paul Agon joined L’Oréal as soon as he finished his schooling. He joined L’Oréal as a product manager in France. At that time, he was only 24 years old.

Soon after he joined L’Oréal, his hard and dedicated work took him to further beyond and he got posted in Greece. After Greece, he was also in Asia till 2000. He is the main reason of success of some of the brands of L’Oréal reached to the peak of international success. Some of these brands are: Studio Line, Plénitude, Elsève, Biotherm and Maybelline.

After all these success, he became the President of L'Oréal in the U.S. in 2001. By 2006, he became the CEO and in 2011, he became the Chairman of L'Oréal.

Google

Eric Schmidt is the big name behind the grand success of the search giant Google from the past few years. He has been the CEO of Google for more than a decade until he declared his retirement in 2011.

Prior to working in Google, Eric worked with several IT companies. Most of his posts were related to technical positions. His workplace includes the names of Palo Alto Research Center, Bell Labs, Sun Microsystems and Novell.

Both the founders of Google, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, were the interviewer of Eric, when he came for Google. The founders were so much impressed by Eric; they hired him instantly and made him to run their company. After Eric decided to step down from the CEO of Google, the search engine giant gifted him $100 million as a gift.

Eric is one of the very few CEOs in the world, who has become billionaire by the stocks of the company, he worked for; he was neither the founder of the company nor related to the formation of the company.
