This Iranian national fled Iran in 1984 and landed in the U.S.; he was only 19 years.

While leaving Iran, he was arrested at the Turkey border and was jailed. His strong determinations didn’t allowed him to be a prisoner and he landed on California, bribing a jail-guard with $200.

After landing in the U.S. soil, he worked as a janitor. It was in 1989, when he joined the corporate office of ‘Jack in the Box’.

His hard work and devotion got him 10 ‘Jack in the Box’ restaurants in 2003 along with a partner. Now, he owns more than 100 ‘Jack in the Box’ restaurants.

2. Melody Stevens
Academy of Music on Main Street

When Melody Stevens applied for a job in a school in New Jersey, she was turned down by the authorities. But she didn’t take this as a failure in her life. She appreciates this and also considers it as the reason of her success.

The rejection made her to work in a music school, Academy of Music on Main Street in New Jersey. She gradually became the owner of the same school within a short period and owns 2 music academies and is also an impactful speaker.
