Eligliblity Criteria :

1. Procedure for getting Eligibility Certificate

Before applying for admission under Foreign Indian Student(NRI) quota a candidate needs to seek Equivalence/Eligibility certificate from BFUHS by applying on prescribed application performa available from the University office on payment of Rs. 1000/-. The performa may be downloaded from our website and it may be sent to the University along with fee of US$ 500 plus Rs.1000 or equivalent in US$ being the cost of the application form in the shape of demand draft/cashier’s cheque in favour of the Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot drawn on any bank payable in India.

The applicant has to attach following documents along with the application:-

i) 10+1/ equivalent examination detailed marks certificate(s) (The certificate(s) must show the marks of Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English)

ii)10+2/ equivalent examination detailed marks certificate(s)/Official Transcript (The certificate(s) must show the marks of Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English)

iii) Explanation Sheet of grades.

iv) Copy of the certificate qualifying examination

v) Date of Birth Certificate.

vi) Character/Recommendation Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.

vii) Proof of NRI status of candidate/parents.
   
Note:- These documents should be original along with Photocopies duly attested by a competent authority. A candidate should fill in the form preferably in his/her own handwriting & send it to the Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Sadiq Road, Faridkot-151203 (Pb) India along with a Bank Draft for US$ 500 or equivalent amount in Indian rupees plus Rs.1000 or equivalent in US$ as a cost of form, in favour of the Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, (Pb) India payable at Faridkot. After verification of the documents, the university will issue Eligibility/Equivalency Certificate to the Eligible candidates only, and all original documents will be returned in person at the time of issue of Eligibility/Equivalency certificate.

 
2. For admission to College:

a) After obtaining the Eligibility Certificate from the University, the candidate has to apply to the college. The physical presence of the candidates is compulsory at the time of counselling. Admission shall be strictly according to preference category wise merit as per the Punjab Govt. Notification and its amendments. After selection, the candidates will be required to deposit the prescribed fee as per instructions.

The candidate has to attach the photocopies of the following documents duly attested by the competent authority along with admission application form:-

i) 10+1/ equivalent examination detailed marks certificate(s)(The certificate(s) must show the marks of Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English)

ii) 10+2/ equivalent examination detailed marks certificate(s)/Official Transcript (The certificate(s) must show the marks of Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English)

iii) Explanation Sheet of grades.

iv) Copy of the certificate qualifying examination.

v) Date of Birth Certificate.

vi) Character/Recommendation Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.

vii) Eligibility certificate.

viii) Three latest colour signed and attested photographs (Passport size).

ix) The candidate applying under category (I) & (II) are required to submit 

a. Photostat Copies of the passport of Father/Candidate.
b. Proof of having ancestral background of Punjab/other state.

x) Demand Draft/ Cashier’s Cheque for US $ 500 or equivalent in Indian Rupee.
   
   
Eligibility criteria for NRI candiadtes

a) Candidate must be 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2011.

b) They should have passed in such qualifying examination from a recognized institution in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English separately and should have obtained at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) taken together. Candidate should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in 10+1examination.

c) Candidates seeking admission under Foreign Indian Student (NRI) quota are not required to take PMET but they must appear for counseling before the Selection committee.

 
Preference- :

The criteria laid down for admission against seats reserved for NRI Candidates will be as under:-

i)
Category I : NRIs who originally belonged to the State of Punjab.

ii)
Category II : NRIs who originally belonged to an Indian state other than Punjab.

Fees:

The fee amount of $ 40, 000/- may be paid in lump sum or installment as given below:

Note 1

a. The student will have to give a Bank Guarantee for the residual fee, if he/she opts to pay the fee in installment as provided.

b. The candidate shall be eligible only if they deposit the fee in foreign currency from their own/Parents NRI account.

 
Note 2

1. All original documents are required to be submitted at the time of applying for EQUATION/ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE.

2. Statements of result issued by School/College and the un-authenticated Result Notification/ Result Slip etc. will not be accepted.

3. Candidate must have ‘Provisional Student Visa’ from the Indian mission abroad before admission and once he/she gets the confirmed admission, ‘Student Visa’ can be obtained from FRO/FRRO.

4. Candidates shall also be required to obtain a Clearance Certificate from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi in due course and submit it to the Principal of the college to which they are admitted.
