Icfai Business School releases co-branded biography on Steve Jobs

"Steve Jobs – Genius by Design" is a graphic novel published by Campfire and has been widely reviewed so far before the official launch. The book has been launched in Bengaluru on September 9, 2012 to a gathering of hundreds of Under Graduate students, animators, illustrators and publishers from Bangalore and other parts of the country.

Speaking on the occasion Sudhakar Rao, Director - Branding, Icfai Group said: “the positioning platforms of Icfai are innovation, entrepreneurial thinking and technology that makes learning flexible. Steve Jobs is an icon epitomising the spirit of innovation and robust entrepreneurship. We saw a good fit and therefore cobranded this amazing biography on Steve Jobs”.

IBS is a flagship brand of B-Schools under Icfai Group which has included a copy of the graphic novel on Steve Jobs in the prospectus for this year. And the Steve Jobs book is complimentary! This is aimed at differentiating the brand at applicant level and deriving the association benefit given the positive rub off effect. Sudhakar Rao also said “that Icfai B-School has picked up more than 20000 copies for this season”
Post launch students enquired about IBS/Icfai, the admission formalities and also tried to understand the significance of the context in which this co branding has been done.

“Every year the admission into IBS is through the IBSAT (IBS Admission Test). This year IBSAT will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) to be conducted from Dec 20, 2012 to January 10, 2013 over 95 centres across the country” clarified Sudhakar Rao.

Like the graphic novel, other booklets in the prospectus are specially designed with rounded corners apart from high end printing on expensive paper. The touch and feel of IBS kit marks conformity with superior standards of quality.

A few entrepreneurs and animators expressed keenness to understand the effort that has gone into creating the Graphic Novel to which the representatives of Campfire responded and furnished all the relevant details. Andrew Dodd and team represented Campfire at the launch event.
