ICFAI Tech School conducts National Conference on Recent Advances in Elec

ICFAI Tech School of the ICFAI University, Hyderabad has organized a inaugural event of Two-day 2nd National Conference on Recent Advances in Electronics (NCRAE 2017) on 24th February 2017 at ICFAI University Campus, Shankarpally Road, Hyderabad.

The Chief Guest on the occasion Prof. Rajat Moona,  Director General, C-DAC (Centre for Development of Advanced Computing), Pune, in his address mentioned that  India is moving forward as digital India in line with the campaign launched by Government of India.  He stated India in recent years have over taken advanced countries in the world in terms of Digital services offered primarily like e-governance, online payments, online certifications, online approvals etc. The massive funds and efforts put in for setting up high-speed, high-ways of information technology has penetrated deep into the country reaching remotest areas.

Prof. Rajat Moona also stated that like other developed countries, we should advance to meet the future growth of
electronic industry.  Before 20 years IT growth has started and now it is time to accelerate into advanced electronics field Internet of Things (IoT). IoT is a network of everyday objects such as wearable devices, lighting systems, smart fridges, door locks, connected cars, traffic signals, industrial equipment etc. which are connected to the internet, can communicate with each other, and collect and exchange data for a specific purpose. In essence, IoT has the potential to radically transform our lifestyles.

While appreciating the Indian talent he quoted two ingredients that will take India to the top is IT (Indian Talent) plus IT (Information Technology)  is equal to IT (India 
Tomorrow).

Keynote Speakers
Dr. R.K.Shevgaonkar, former Director IIT-Delhi;  Dr. Mani Srinivasan,  Program Director IBM Bangalore; Dr. B.G. Fernandes, IIT-Bombay; Dr P.Sudhakar, former CMD, ECIL Hyderabad, Dr Narayan L Pidigu Sr Director Xilinx Hyderabad were among the prominent speakers participated in the conference.


Earlier, Prof. J. Mahender Reddy, Vice Chancellor of ICFAI University in his presidential address explained about the aim of the conference and said “With the rapid advances in electronics and communication technologies, scientists and engineers are coming up with innovative systems for data transmission. ThereforeNCRAE 2017 is organized to create a learning platform to exchange the knowledge and learning experiences between academia and industry engaged in the study of electrical and electronics engineering.

Participation of delegates
: The participation in this conference was from academia, government and industry.Overall the conference has received 50 papers. The papers are from Central Universities, State Universities, Technological Universities, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Research Center Imarat and Naval Science Academy from Kerala. There were 10 papers contributed by Faculty of Science and Technology of ICFAI Tech School in the areas of Electronics, VLSI and Communication System.
