GIM strives to position its young managers as effective leaders in the global corporate arena. While basic knowledge is imparted, managerial skills are also developed through core courses and the various electives that span four semesters. GIM has been awarded ISO 9001 : 2008 Certification for its quality in performance and delivery.

The Pedagogy involving audio-visual methods, lectures, discussions, case studies, group activities etc, help enhance better understanding, awareness and familiarity with the various subjects. Computer literacy is imparted to all our students. We strive to make our students MBA +, with the ‘plus’ representing characteristics such as competence, confidence and compassion. We ensure all this and more, through constant reviews and continuous action for the attainment of academic and behavioural excellence.

GIM is located in a spacious Campus, midway between Coimbatore (20 kms) and Palakkad (25 kms) at Navakkarai, a serene and picturesque location in the foothills of Sahyadri. MBA

The MBA Programme of GIM has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation ( NBA ), Government of India. NBA accreditation is a stamp of quality taking into account the Faculty, Campus, Infrastructure, other facilities and past academic performance.
Curriculum

The fundamentals of Management are imparted to the students through 17 core courses and 32 Electives spread over four semesters. The students also get a feel of the corporate world through the summer project, which they undertake by attaching themselves to different industrial organizations. Electives are offered in the functional areas of Marketing, Finance, Human Resource management, Systems, Operations , Shiping and Logistics. The learning method followed is a combination of classroom lectures, discussions, seminars, workshops, case analysis, role-plays, management games etc.

Attendance

Attendance is compulsory for all scheduled sessions. Prior permission is required for availing leave from class, in the prescribed leave form. A minimum of 85% attendance in a semester is essential for appearing for the semester examinations.

A statement of attendance of each student will be sent to the parent / guardian every month.

Students who are absent during either the preceding or succeeding days of holidays will have to present written explanation from the parent.
Students should strictly adhere to the schedule of seminar and other assignments given by the Faculty.

Dress Code

Guruvayurappan Institute of Management has a dress code by which every student should wear. Full suits provided by the Institute must be used on every Thursdays. On other working days, every students should come to the Institute decently dressed.
