About Us - Narula Institute of Technology, Kolkata (NIT-K) is a unit of JIS Group of academic institutions, managed under the Narula Educational Trust. It was established by Sardar Jodh Singh, an esteemed & eminent industrialist, whose very life defines the word "Karamyogi". Belonging to the rare breed of successful industrialists who feel that they owe a debt to be society and are committed to repay it, he set up this Charitable Trust with a view to imparting education of highest quality in various fields, particularly in technology and management, the two core areas which are of immense need in to-days world in a developing country like ours.
Narula Institute of Technology, Kolkata (NIT-K) was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Chief Minister Sri Buddhadeb Bhattacharya on August 17th 2001, Hon'ble Minister of Higher Education, Sri Satya Sadhan Chakraborty also graced the occasion.
