About us - Institute of Management Study (IMS), established in July 2006 is only four years old. But within this short span of time it has grown up to be a 'new age B-school'. The college has a campus of 22,000 sq ft in five floors. It offers the following programs: BBA (H)- Bachelor of Business Administration Honours ( Full Time) BCA - Bachelor of Computer Application MMA - Masters in Management Administration (Full Time) Dual Program : MMA - MBA Dual program: MBA - PGPM It provides part time MBA course. It provides MBA as a Distance Education Program (DEP) The MBA course is recognized by Punjab Technical University (PTU) and MMA is recognized by West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). Student Strength - Altogether it has got almost 500 students. Students doing dual program of MMA - MBA is 84 in a year. Course fee for this dual program of MMA-MBA is 2.87 lakhs.
Infrastructure Facilities : The entire college is situated in a five-storey building. There are no hostel facilities. Its not residential. There is a lack of playground. Library facility – Plenty of books are available. The library also contains sufficient periodicals, magazines and journals. It also takes everyday newspapers. Study tour – Yes, it conducts study tours. It took the students to TATA Bearings in Kharagpur for Supply Chain Management (SCM) this year. However, the college should conduct more study tours. Canteen facility – Not so good. Variety of food should be increased and the food should be cheaper. Computer Labs – The computer lab has got 30 machines. College provide laptops and it has got Wi Fi facility in the campus. Sports – Indoor games like carom, chess and table tennis are there. We need a playground. We don't have any space to conduct outdoor games like cricket and football.
Placements : The placement cell is controlled by both the students and the teachers. The placement cell handles the entire process, and it works well. 80% of the batch was placed in 2008. Highest domestic salary – 12 -13,000 per month Average domestic salary – 8- 10,000 per month There’s need for improvement.
