SI Team
Tuesday, March 1, 2016
The tax season is underway; not that anyone is going to forget about it! The prep ads are all over daily news, billboards, even on Facebook and Twitter, laying out the hacks for filing taxes in a prudential way before the deadline set by IRS for tax payments. However, mistakes and final moment agitations are difficult to avoid when someone sticks to the traditional culture of filing taxes on their own. In addition, with the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act of 2015, the complications around taxes are only going to increase. "Paying taxes is strenuous, but filing can be pretty painless if people have the right tax pro by their side," says Abbas Saeedi, Founder and Consultant at United Tax. "We make tax payments not only painless but accurate as well, with our automated cloud based solutions and screen sharing services." Being in the tax and financial business for over a decade, Bay Area located United Tax has an array of intuitive solutions that simplify tax payments for their customers.

Steps to Simplifications

It starts with registration and uploading of documents on the online portal of United Tax. Customers need to do just that; the rest is taken care by United Tax. Once the receipts and relevant information are deployed, the company's experts will draw insights for refunds and deductions. If people earn money, they deserve to get every tax deduction and credit available, so that they can get the tax refund they deserve. Keeping this thought above everything, United Tax' professionals closely scrutinize the data with them to highlight loopholes, if any, and create the final document for tax return. "It traverse all the channels, including detecting errors such as incorrect social security numbers, addresses, or withholding; common mistakes that can delay IRS processing of your return.

The next step is discussion. Either face-to-face in any of United Tax' offices in Newark, Fremont or Watsonville, over telephone, or on Live Tax Pro. This virtual software is a screen sharing tool, to conduct a real time communication ordeal between a payer and United Tax professional. What follows is series of discussions to clear the air surrounding the composition of tax returns and solving customer's issues on the same. These conversations are not time bounded; hence any customer with an issue or a question can contact the company's expert anytime 24X7. Finally, a copy is made for e-filed tax return and refund that is shared with the customer and IRS electronically. Following this simple approach has enabled United Tax to serve clients from states and countries as a Certified Public Accountant and Enrolled Agent.

For United Tax, achieving this feat was not an easy path, especially in a market where hundreds of companies claim to possess the right solution. However, which is the right tax preparer is the big question. And this is why Saeedi has made sure that his company's differentiating factors stand above the rest. "We have crafted our solutions in our own lab. Nothing is bought or leased from a third party vendor," marks Saeedi. As the frameworks of these tools are developed by the company itself, they solve two major exigencies of tax payments-not only making it simple but informative as well. When it comes to paying taxes, information is money, and United Tax ensures that its customers get both.

Making the Right Choice

"Your personal tax return is likely your single largest financial transaction of the year so you want a tax expert-who not just does taxes, but someone that understands your tax situation as well," says Saeedi. This requires a team that is well versed in all of the recent tax law changes and federal and individual state tax codes. This is what exactly United Tax has assembled within their walls-a workforce that is capable of developing off the shelf resilient solutions, and assists customers in achieving their goals. "Our team ensures that they make tax filing convenient, make the process transparent, and customers have right financial information with them to take right decisions," says Saeedi. Talking about the "right financial information", United Tax has also compiled a knowledge base repository for customers, which list answers to the various challenges one may face while filing for tax. With such services, United Tax ties all the loose ends of tax payments; to become a partner that not only understands tax situation but possess adequate solutions and a team to rectify the hidden obstacles as well.

The company has also introduced a Premium Audit Protection Program that provides customers with the strongest possible defense when the tax return is subjected to an IRS audit. "We provide three years of coverage and up to $2,500 in reimbursement of assessed interests, penalties and certain tax increases," says Saeedi. Here United Tax focuses on assisting customers with IRS notices and minimizing the incurring of liabilities. As the whole process involves sharing of critical data sets, United Tax has made sure their cloud's fabric remains impenetrable to the unauthorized access from outside. All the data stored by the company on their server are shielded with Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocols for maximum security. "We keep our client's information under confidence and doesn't share it with anyone," adds Saeedi.

On the other side, the data deployed over cloud is scanned and saved with additional copies. It is a prudent way to keep the documents available and ready on cloud and quite helpful in cases when their original versions are lost from their clients. "Cloud has enabled us to be the forerunner in the financial space and be ahead of the technology curve," says Saeedi. With these methodologies, the company has made its presence in other sectors of finance, such as accounting. "It includes a full year of financial advices, in addition with payroll and bookkeeping services, reminder services for future tax ventures, and business setup advice," adds Saeedi. The reminders and advices play a vital role to stay level with the changes seen at the front of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR).

Technology has and always will been the ladder to reach new heights. As the new days will unfold, United Tax will be seen wielding the latest tech tools to explore better ways in simplifying tax filing. The aspiration here is to exceed the expectations of the customers and enable them to draw best results from the tax season of today and the future.
