Monday, December 1, 2008
With over two decades of experience in technology-enabled businesses across 15 countries in the APAC region, Vijay Srinivasan has donned a new role as the Managing Director of Invensys Process Systems (IPS) in India. In his new role, Srinivasan will be responsible for spearheading the entire operations of IPS in the India subcontinent, overseeing the company’s growth and expansion in the region. Earlier Srinivasan worked with premier organizations like Wipro, Ariba, IBM, U21 Global and more recently Bharti Airtel, where in his two and a half year stint as the COO of the western region, he scaled the business from Rs 200 crore to Rs 800 crore.

At IPS, he will handle a combined workforce of about 1000 people from the company’s development center at Hyderabad, sales and admin office at Mumbai and other parts of the country. Srinivasan is a strong believer of empowering his team and building the next level of leaders. Also, he dedicates a part of his time every week to talk to the employees across all levels and keeps them appraised of company’s vision, policies and practices, thereby reducing the disconnect between the organization and the employees.

Srinivasan is an avid reader. Apart from keeping himself updated with the current affairs and developments in the industry, he has a keen interest in spiritual works. In leisure, he enjoys badminton, golf, bowling and traveling with family to remote areas of the country. Recently he has also started experimenting with photography. An engineering graduate in Electronics and Communication, he also holds an MBA from IIM, Bangalore, with specialization in Marketing and Finance.
