Ranjit Prithviraj
Intelligroup appoints Ranjit Prithviraj as COO
IT Consulting and Outsourcing Partner, Intelligroup has promoted Ranjit Prithviraj as the Chief Operating Officer of Intelligroup Asia, a wholly owned subsidiary of Intelligroup, Inc.

Based out of Intelligroup’s India headquarters in Hyderabad, Prithviraj will provide leadership to the different business groups in the company, and ensure growth and expansion, as they serve both, national and international markets. He joined Intelligroup in 1997.

He has been closely associated with the company’s big clients including GE, Procter and Gamble, Eastman Chemical, Exxon Mobil, Hitachi, and Pearson Publishing. Prior to Intelligroup, Prithviraj worked as senior business analyst at Comsys, a multi-million dollar global IT services firm based in Somerset, NJ. He has a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from the Bangalore University.

Mohan Gyani
Mohan Gyani joins as CEO and Chairman, Roamware
California based mobile roaming specialist Roamware has appointed Mohan Gyani as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman. Gyani joins the company as it enters the next phase of expansion in the roaming market valued at $50 billion in annual revenues. Roamware currently provides enhanced roaming and associated value added services to 100 operators across 63 countries to help mobile operators maximize revenue, increase operational efficiency and reduce subscriber churn.

Gyani joins Roamware from AT & T Wireless Group where he advised the Chairman and CEO on strategy, business development and operations.
Gyani began his career in 1978 with Pacific Telesis Group/Pacific Bell, holding a number of key positions in finance and operations. He is a member of the Boards of Epiphany, Keynote Systems and Safeway as well as a board member of private firms and non-profit organizations.

He holds an MBA in Finance from San Francisco State University.


Hema Ravichander
Hema Ravichander leaves Infosys
Hema Ravichander, the global head of human resources at the Bangalore based IT and business consulting service provider Infosys Technologies Limited, has quit.

“I am currently exploring various options including consultancy opportunities in the human capital management space,” Ravichander said.

“I have been with Infosys for over 10 years. I have learnt a lot from this company. The HR and organizational metrics are robust and I felt it is time to move on,” Ravichander said.

Ravichander was responsible for the overall aspects of human resources development at Infosys and for the Infosys group companies across the globe.

When Ravichander joined Infosys during the mid-nineties, the organization had just a few thousand employees. Today, the company has employee strength of over 36,000; bulk of which were added during the past few years.

Incidentally, this was her second stint with Infosys.


Alan Sedghi
Alan Sedghi takes over as Managing Director of SAP South Asia.

Business software solution provider SAP Asia Pacific has announced the appointment of Alan Sedghi as Managing Director of SAP South Asia.

In addition, to his existing role as President and Managing Director of SAP Indian Sub-continent and SAP Thailand, Sedghi will oversee the business operations of all the markets in South Asia, including Brunei, Indochina, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Pakistan and Singapore.

He joined SAP Asia in 1998 as director for the Services Industries Business Unit where he built and grew the business; he also helped secure deals with leading organizations such as Provincial Electricity Authority Thailand.

Sedghi brings more than 20 years of utilities industry and information technology experience. He has a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas, U.S.

Padma Parthasarathy
Padma Parthasarathy named Capco India Country Manager.

Integrated consulting firm Capco has announced the appointment of Padma Parthasarathy as Capco India Country Manager. Based in Bangalore, she will be responsible for developing Capco’s relationships with the Indian banking sector as well as increasing its client base. Parthasarathy will report to Capco partner and BPO and sourcing development executive VP Gopi Chelliah. Parthasarathy joins Capco from Perot Systems TSI (India) Limited, where she was most recently Vice-President, Strategic Accounts and Initiatives.

In all, she has more than 17 years of experience in the sourcing industry leading sizeable operations teams which serviced Tier One banking clients in Europe and North America, including Citigroup, Clearstream, Deutsche Bank, Standard Chartered and UBS.

Parthasarathy was educated at the University of Bombay, Mumbai, India; where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1986, and the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India; where she obtained an MBA with specialization in Systems and Finance in 1988.


Ravinder Zutshi
Ravinder Zutshi promoted as Deputy MD of Samsung India.

Samsung India Electronics Limited has elevated Ravinder Zutshi, Director, Sales and Marketing to the position of Deputy Managing Director.

In his new capacity, Zutshi will oversee the consumer electronics, home appliances and information technology business, along with the corporate functions of the company. He has been with Samsung India since inception in December 1995.

Zutshi has over 30 years of experience in the consumer electronics industry, and also holds the position of Vice President (North), Consumer Electronics and TV Manufacturers Association (CETMA). Talking about his plans for the Company, Zutshi stated, “My focus would be to make this organization even more customer focused in terms of our products and services, so that we can establish Samsung as a technology leader in the country.”
