LogicaCMG Appoints Rahul Patwardhan as CEO, Application Management, Offshore and Nearshore Operations

Larry Ellison, CEO, Oracle Corporation and Jack Welch, Management Guru and Chairman, General Electric are men whom Rahul Patwardhan admires. Their philosophy of the right combinations of aggression and confidence matters to Patwardhan, who will be responsible for all the application maintenance and support work undertaken by IT Services company LogicaCMG in its offshore and nearshore loca-tions. Prior to joining LogicaCMG, he was President, Europe/Asia-Pacific of NIIT Technology’s software arm. His 20-year experience spans a wide range of senior management roles. He graduated from IIM Kolkata.

i-flex Solutions elevates V Shankar,
Head – IT Services division to Executive Vice- President.

Shankar has set foot in no less than 35 countries and the assimilated experiences and sights garnered have helped him gain a global outlook to accelerate the growth of the services business of IT Solutions company
i-flex. Shankar has served as a consultant to banks in Switzerland, Jamaica and Japan. A postgraduate from IIT Bombay (1985) he started his career with i-flex as a programmer and has worked with them for 20 years. A major inflection point in his career was when he had to transition from a cost center to profit center at i-flex, latter being high-risk with no guarantee. Reading and going on long drives are his passions. His career role model is Rajesh Hukku, Chairman of i-flex.




Georg Kniese to hold Joint Managing Director position for SAP Labs India

Based in Bangalore, Georg Kniese’s mandate will be to oversee the research and development activities at inter-enterprise software company SAP Labs India with current Joint Managing Director Martin Prinz. Prior to joining SAP AG, he held positions with the Boston Consulting Group, Switzerland and with Procter & Gamble, Switzerland. He holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany. Kniese says, “SAP Labs India is the largest development hub of SAP outside Germany. It therefore carries the important responsibility for new developments and products that are regularly introduced in the market and as well as for servicing our global customers.”


Krishan Dhawan takes over as Managing Director of Oracle India

Krishan Dhawan joined enterprise software company Oracle in March 2005, and brings with him more than 25 years of management experience in the financial services and IT enabled services sector in India and across the globe. Prior to joining Oracle, he spent 23 years at the Bank of America, leading various operations across Asia Pacific and American markets. Dhawan comple-ted his MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. He is a Board member of Grameen Develop-ment Services, a NGO, and a frequent guest speaker to industry forums in India and overseas, including NASSCOM, CII and FICCI.

Cradle Technologies Names Satchit Jain Senior VP Hardware Engineering

Satchit Jain will manage all VLSI silicon engineering at Cradle Technologies Inc., a maker of digital signal processing products for real-time multimedia and lead the engineering effort to design the company’s third generation of multiprocessor DSPs, or digital signal processors. Jain was most recently founder, president and chief executive of Teradiant Networks Inc., a packet processing and traffic management start-up. Prior to that, he spent 13 years at Intel Corp. Jain holds an MSEE degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
