HAPPY ANNIVERSARY
I would like to congratulate you and the siliconindia crew on the second anniversary of your magazine. I have recommended this magazine to many of my friends and classmates. It’s a wonderful magazine, and I think it’s the ONLY magazine being published by the Indian community which has such informative articles and nice presentation. For three months I was in the Silicon Valley area for a summer internship, and I was delighted to find that this magazine is so popular not only among Indian community but also among other people working in hi-tech arena. Please continue doing

the good work. Obviously I am going to recommend siliconindia to all incoming students of my class (MBA Program, University of Delaware) as well. - Supreet Singh

EQUAL COVERAGE FOR WOMEN

I find it hard to believe that only Indian men are running successful technology businesses. Maybe you could consider highlighting more women in your magazine who are successfulas well. Please think about it. - Kavita Mehta

HOME PRIDE

Congratulations on siliconindia's outstanding quality and quantity of work. Such an accomplishment speaks volumes of you and your team's dedication. As always, I read the magazine from the top left of first page to the bottom right of the last page. There is so much in it that appeals to my patriotic instincts that I always feel proud and euphoric after reading your magazine. - Ashok Kumar

SHAPING UP

Please accept my heartiest congratulations on completion of two years.

I have been following your magazine for over the last year. I am happy with the way it is shaping up as a premier IT/business magazine in the US. - Makarand Teje, Wipro Infotech

COMPUTER ADVICE?

I have been reading your magazine for months and am inspired by the achievments of our fellow countrymen. However, I’d like to suggest that the magazine contain more articles on the basis of the new technologies and their significances. Perhaps the magazine could contain a section in every issue that is specifically for computer-related questions that readers may have and their answers. It could include product comparisons, or clarify what certain computer tools are good for. A section of selected Web-sites of interest (including downloads, free programs, Indian news, etc.) would be a great addition. I commend you on a great magazine. - Chintan Bhatt

KUDOS

Keep it up. You are doing a worldclass job. Quality, content, timeliness are great. I would not be surprised if your magazine is atthe level of BusinessWeek or Time someday soon. Congratulations! - Bhadresh Shah

ROLE MODELS

I am a professor in biotechnology, and I am actively involved in promoting this technology to improve agricultural productivity in India. I enjoy reading siliconindia very much although I am not an IT person to whom the magazine is primarily directed. It evertheless has valuable information for other professionals because of Sam Pitroda's insightful writing, helpful articles on taxes, investing etc. The best thing about your magazine is how you highlight successful expatriates from India as this will clearly help many younger Indians to emulate these high achievers. - Prakash

RED FLAGS

In our office, the old copies of siliconindia that we keep in the waiting room are read by so many visitors that we've kept some of the issues around for a whole year!

The Q&A section is insightful for young techies, providing helpful advice on the hot career areas they should be paying attention to. Keep up the good work you do on keeping on the positive side of issues.

Also, I do hope that you will feature a piece soon about "less than qualified" persons that show up from India to work here in the US. Perhaps you could help identify some of the poorer training school locations in India so those looking to hire can identify potential problems early. It will help a lot of people from falling into traps of inefficiency. - Akkaraju Sarma, MD

SOMETHING BORROWED

Please accept my congratulations on your success. Job well done! I have had non-Indians come to me and borrow your magazine as they found it to be more useful and instructive than similar US publications. - Binay Sugla, Lucent Technologies

IT BOOST

Your magazine has made a lot of difference to me in substantially increasing my knowledge base of IT. I hope that someday soon I will have the opportunity to contribute to the information technology field and make a difference in people's lives and also connect with other Indians in this country. - Hrishikesh Nayar

Indian IPOs

If I may make a suggestion, I would like to see more coverage of Internet IPOs related to business-to-business and infrastructure, e.g. ARBA, JNPR, et cetera. - Sonal Pandya

Serving the Home Country

It has been a great pleasure receiving siliconindia magazine. Hearty congratulations on a publication full of quality and useful information. Please extend sincere thanks to all of your staff and commend them for a job well done.

I have been in the US since 1983 and we are seriously considering moving back to India. I was born, brought up and educated in India and I am looking for an opportunity to serve our home country. There are many Indians residing here who feel the same way. Is there a possibility that you might include an article in your magazine highlighting the opportunities in India, giving information about and the pros and cons of opening a business there, and/or setting up offshore consulting? I am certain this will attract wide readership. - S. Shivashankar
