Sunday, February 1, 2009
Technology major Hewlett-Packard is betting big on the Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) market in India. Leveraging its wide network of dealers and servicing centers in India, HP has launched its new range of UPS T1000v (1KVA), T1500 (1.5 KVA), and R3000v (3 KVA) in the country. Targeting the IT, BPO, and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) the company is forecasting an annual growth of 14-15 percent.

In conjunction with data center solutions focused on power and cooling optimization, HP offers with its new products reliable power protection for businesses at affordable prices. Features like easy serviceability and zero downtime with hot-swappable batteries ensure reliability of the new products. The enhanced battery management feature gives advance notice of an impending battery failure.

HP has initially launched the new UPS models in India and China; and they will be introduced in other markets at a later stage. The emergence of tier-1 and tier-2 cities in India as important software hubs has prompted HP to follow an India-centric approach in unveiling its new products.
