o9 Solutions, based in Dallas, TX is a provider of cloud enabled solutions for enterprises to bring in outstanding results, through integrated planning, performance management platform and services

Currently, we belong to an all connected world. The present employees, customers and devices enjoy the benefits of this connected world; however, the scenario creates the need for leading organizations to act rapidly and in a synchronized fashion towards the fast-changing environment. Moreover, potential platforms are emerging that would enable large organizations to function as a single unit.

Lack of Actionable Information is Impacting the Industry
The most prevalent concern for enterprises is the deficiency in actionable information, rather than lack of data. Many organizations are not able to function rapidly in terms of planning, analysis and actions. And, they make many mistakes that their resources are not perfectly utilized. I would compare those organizations with vehicles that consume more fuel than necessary.

I believe companies, instead of functioning without addressing these concerns, should try exploring the intelligent software platforms that are available. These platforms are capable of transforming traditional businesses to smarter ventures. In addition, the connected infrastructure could facilitate rapid deployment of a single software platform with the ability to connect with everything, be it fringe software systems, market intelligence databases, employees, suppliers or customers.

By functioning this way, organizations can get access to the management system of future. Such a system could lead to enterprises with the ability to plan with higher confidence, forecast with better accuracy, and react with greater speed. With clear views on the happenings and possibilities, it would be an easy task to maintain an edge over competitors.

Along with enhancing opportunities for individual companies, these intelligent software systems possess tremendous potential to increase the GDP of countries as well, thereby changing the lives of more than five billion workers across the globe. (As told to Anitha T S)
