Rohan Deshpande has been recently appointed the Associate Director of Wireless Technology at Hungama. He brings to the desk rich and comprehensive knowledge in solution architecture for new products and technologies, project management, business process analysis, client management, and consulting that he garnered during the eight years stint in the telecom sector. He has had stints with Tata Infotech, Bharti Cellular, ADC (Metrica) Software, and recently with SmartTrust AB.

At Hungama, he is responsible for creating and executing the technology roadmap, keeping in mind the requirement of digital entertainment products and services in the mobile business across wireless carriers within India and abroad. In addition, he will analyze the variety of technologies available and identify the systems needed to architect a complete product offering that fits the company’s goals. Excited about his new role, he says, “Looking at the growth in the telecom sector, I look forward to take the company’s business to greater heights.”

As a leader, Deshpande’s leadership mantra is to constantly motivate his team with new challenges. He believes that a good leader should have strong business acumen, planning,strategy, and people management capabilities. His advice to budding leaders is to constantly keep updating on new technology and market trends.
