Bullar becomes the first Indian origin player to enter U.S. Basketball Team

People across the world have a major craze for cricket, which we are well aware off. But there is another sport that drives the younger generation more wildly i.e. basketball. This sport holds the second position across the world and is played among both men and women.

Sim Bullar of Indian origin has created history and made India proud by becoming the first player of Indian descent to sign an NBA contract, and will be joining the U.S. basketball team. The 7-foot-5, 360-pound (163 Kg) focus was an individual from the Kings squad will be making his debut in during his 10-day contract period with the season-end approaching.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, to a Punjab family, he is first player of Indian basis to sign with a group from the top U.S. men's expert b-ball association when he inked an agreement with the Kings on Aug 15, 2014.

"I'm more of an Indian at heart than a Canadian, born into a Punjabi family the Indian roots have grown in me. I am just happy to represent my country of birth but I hope me reaching NBA opens doors for a lot of Indian boys and girls," said Bhullar.

"I've long believed that India is the next great frontier for NBA, and adding a talented player like Sim only underscores the exponential growth basketball has experienced in that nation," Mumbai-born Kings owner Vivek Ranadive said announcing Bhullar's signing.
