Marketing Plans to Accelerate Growth

An IT veteran with over 15 years experience in working across business units, about market penetration, and expansion as well as driving growth through portfolio management and integrated marketing communication strategies, Amit Mehta is recently appointed as Director, Marketing, EMC India and SAARC region.

In his new role, Mehta will be responsible for spearheading the marketing strategy of EMC in India and the SAARC region. He will be driving the strategy and execution of all marketing efforts to support EMC’s sales verticals, products, and partnerships in India. He will report to Manoj Chugh, President, EMC India and SAARC.

Prior to joining EMC, Mehta worked in Microsoft, where he was the Director, Unified Communications for India and was responsible for both revenue and non-revenue based targets around market penetration and expansion as well as partner and field readiness. Prior to Microsoft, he headed the marketing division at Avaya, where he led the product business for the company.

Mehta has an MBA degree from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.
