Shashank Samant, a former President with Ness Technologies, has joined GlobalLogic as its President and board member and will oversee the company’s worldwide business development, business management, marketing, and sales. With over 20 years of industry experience, Samant has worked with Citicorp (now I-flex), HP, and IBM where he has established offshore development centers for the companies. In order to satisfy his passion for R&D and product innovation, he also founded a startup called Chordiant Software that was later acquired by Ness.

In his new role he will be responsible for all the outbound operations of the company, grow its Global Delivery Center business in which GlobalLogic helps technology clients rapidly establish offshore, client-owned, GlobalLogic-managed software engineering centers. He believes his aim to grow the company from a $100 million company to a billion dollar organization will be his biggest challenge here. Always thriving on new challenges, he strongly believes in having a passion for the work one does. Though a hardcore technologist, once outside work his passion is reading history and learning about new countries and their cultures. The other hobby that he immensely enjoys is cooking.
