Kingfisher Opts for IBS Cargo Solution

As cargo business is holding a high growth potential for the future, Kingfisher Airlines has chosen IBS, a provider of IT solutions for the travel, transportation, and logistics industry, to provide software solution to its cargo business.

IBS’ iCargoNet provides an enterprise-wide solution to help manage the entire cargo business of the airlines right from planning, sales, operations, ground handling, and unit load device management to cargo revenue accounting and revenue optimization functions in an integrated and cost-effective manner.
iCargoNet would enable the airline to optimize the inventory of its flights and monitor capacity utilization as well as the revenue generated by each flight.

V K Mathew, Chairperson and CEO of IBS groups, says that with the implementation of the IBS cargo solutions, the company is foraying into the Indian air cargo industry. Kingfisher Airlines is the first Indian customer for its cargo solutions and the first user of iCargoNet worldwide. The solution is expected to improve revenue and operational efficiency by 10-20 percent.
