Influenster Grabs $8 Million Series A Funding from Ebates

Bengaluru: Influenster, a product discovery and reviews platform, receives $8 million in its series A funding round from Ebates. The company will use the funding to excel as the full-fledged product discovery platform.

Founded in 2012 by Aydin Acar (Co-Founder & CEO), Elizabeth Scherle (Co-Founder & President), Mike Henderson (CTO) and Emre Yenilmis (Chief Product Officer), Influenster is a New York based product discovery platform and reviews site which lets customers to find new products and get advice before buying the product. By using Influenster, users can gain fresh insights, explore latest products, share their opinions with others and pick up new tips. The users can also compare the products as the company works towards products and encourage discovery, reviews and conversations.

Over the years, Influenster's community has grown up to 1.7 million when it comes to finding new products on Influenster.com and its mobile app. The company has acquired 500,000 new user generated reviews per month and the members have written more than six million product reviews till date.

With this round of financing, we are now able to laser-focus our mission to enhance our product discovery platform where social shoppers come to engage in discovery, conversations, reviews, and offers, while giving brands the opportunity to enter the conversation, populate the digital sphere with meaningful user-generated content, and become household names," concludes Aydin.
