Career oriented but still a fun loving person, Munish Gupta has taken charge as the new Country Head and VP - Operations at GlobalLogic India. He brings to the organization, 16 years of experience in software services with majors like KPMG Consulting and Wipro Technologies. In his current role, he manages the operations and delivery of GlobalLogic’s India development centers, which differs from his earlier roles as he used to head single business units before.

Talking about his appointment he said, “In the new role, I have to plan and execute keeping all the business units in mind. It is a much larger role and it gives me exposure to different aspects of business that are oriented more towards operational efficiency. I work with prospects across business units. This needs an understanding of different domains,”
Gupta believes that being passionate, focusing on value creation, and sincerity have played a key role in his success. His leadership mantra is to look ahead and plan according to the information available. Looking back at his career he has just one regret - quitting Wipro. “One ends up experimenting in the initial phase of the career. If I had to change anything then it had to be leaving Wipro. It is a great organization and continuing there would have been a fine career move,” he says.

A graduate from IIT, Delhi, Gupta has an Executive MBA from IIM, Calcutta. Outside work, he enjoys traveling with family to see new places and watching movies.
