Kerala, the South-Indian state renowned for its high literacy rate, surprised the nation when they published the results of 2015 SSLC examination. While students who have not even turned up for the examination have been awarded 'A' grade for some subjects, with a staggering 98.57 percent results, the number of candidates eligible for higher studies went up to 4,61,542 out of the total 4,68,243 who appeared for the examination. Considering the current hostile political scenarios towards the ruling men in the state, it may be an attempt from the government to prove that the state's education system is doing its best by using faulty measures to assess students. However, this is a revelation for the rest of the country, which has been masking the deep-seated problems of its education sector by creating large amounts of inferior workforce.
In the global education arena, the developing economies like China and Brazil are now contemplating about quality, a concept, which covers everything from the physical condition of educational institutions to better teacher training and from the research activities to more technological involvement in the day-to-day administrations. At the same time, Indian education sector, which has already built the capacity to produce millions of graduates every year, is still struggling to find the right mix of quality in its institutions. The scarcity of Indian Universities being featured in the global rankings is one among the proofs for it.
A master plan that can impart quality education from preschooling to post graduation and further has become inevitable for us to uplift our education eco system. With a detailed study on the same, we have come up with three different lists in this issue of SiliconIndia Education; Best Daycare Centers in Delhi-NCR, Top 10 Most Promising ERP Education Software Providers and Top 20 Private Universities.
