Micromax Unveils A116 Canvas HD With An Unbelievable Price

Bangalore: Micromax, one of the leading mobile manufacturers in India has announced the launch of its new phablet, A116 Canvas HD in the Indian markets priced at less than 15000. Powered by MediaTek’s MT6589 1.2 GHz quad core processor, the phone runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The phone features a 5-inch HD IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. It comes with a 2100mAh battery equipped with 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and multiple camera settings like night mode, 4X zoom, 3G enabled A116, which enhances faster browsing speed and also plays HD quality videos. It also possesses an internal storage of 4 GB, which is expandable to up to 32 GB with a micro SD card along with 1GB of RAM.

With a screen size of 5-inches and a resolution of 720P, the phone is particularly aimed at customers who prefer ‘phablets’ like Samsung Galaxy Note II and HTC Butterfly.

 “We plan to launch 30 Smartphones this year”, said Deepak Mehrotra, CEO, Micromax, during the launch.

A116 Canvas HD is the first Smartphone by Micromax with a quad-core processor. It is said to reach the Indian markets from the first week of February, 2013.
