List Of Phones Set To Receive The Lollipop Update

As of now, the HTC M8 gets the Android 5.0 Lollipop update on the T-Mobile or Sprint networks. The Taiwanese company had previously said that the M7 will receive the update sometime soon, but had not confirmed when. According to Fone arena, lately HTC said the One M7 and M8 will miss its 90 day Android Lollipop promise since their carrier versions of the One M8 and M7 will not meet 90 day goal which was February 1st.

The updated version of the Android Lollipop is expected to bring in changes on the lock screen and notifications with a new user interface and improved privacy features. It also gets the addition of a search function within the settings.

# Samsung

Samsung’s newest S5 gets the Android Lollipop update on the Verizon network. It was the first network to launch the update for the phone in the U.S. too. On the other hand, the Galaxy Note 4 gets the Lollipop update too but only in Poland. According to the NDTV gadgets, the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update is reportedly rolling out over-the-air in India for the S4 and is said to be around 990MB.

The best part about the update is that, apart from bringing the Material Design user interface of the Lollipop, it revamps the Samsung's own TouchWiz interface. Other changes to the notification panel include Guest mode, Android Smart Lock and many more. The update also improves the overall performance, security and battery life on the phone.
