Map My India (2500 on iOS, 250 on Android and free on BlackBerry). It is the first-mover in digitally mapping India. The app is created with a database consisting of first-hand surveys. It includes properly marked addresses and roads, buildings in 3D that help specify the location and a brilliant point-of-interest database that lets to search by house number and address in 30 cities.

Besides MapMyIndia, Google Maps is much more precise and accurate, whether in cities or on the highways. In addition, there are other navigational devices and maps, but not apps.

If you are a foodie and love to try out different cuisines and eateries in the town, then apps can be of best help. Apps like Zomato (Android, Windows, iOS and BlackBerry) give a list of restaurants by city, by locales in a city, by cuisine as well as dishes. Be it a café that sells pasta in Bangalore or vada-sambar in Delhi, it offers you a perfect eatery.

Besides, Food Panda (iOS) and Just Eat (Windows, iOS and Android) offer wide range of stuff such as booking a table and ordering takeaways. Food Panda also lets to store orders for a re-order and built-in coupons offers discount at some restaurants.
