Xperia Pro Gets a Price Cut in India


Bangalore: Sony Ericsson launched Xperia Pro in the end of 2011 with a price tag of 23,599 and within a few months online stores like Flipkart and Infbeam are selling this smartphone for just 20,030. It is not cleared whether the company has reduced the price or the online retail stores are giving a price cut.

The Xperia Pro is powered by 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. The smartphone sports 3.7 inch LED back lit capacitive touchscreen display with 480x854 pixels of resolution and scratch resistant feature. The device has a stunning 8 MP rear facing camera with features like autofocus, touch focus, LED flash and is capable of 720 pixel of video recording, it also has a front facing VGA camera.

The phone can be used as a USB host, which enables users to connect PC, keyboard, or gaming consol. Other features include, HDMI port, DLNA, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G, slide out QWERTY keypad, 1 GB internal memory and can be expandable up to 32 GB via micro SD card

Sony Ericsson is planning to come up with few more Android devices at Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona, hope they are affordable than Xperia Pro.
