BANGALORE: The Chinese Apple, Xiaomi launched their first version of smart band to Indian market. Earlier this week, the company marketed the new Mi Band for 1 on a flash sale and it was sold out within 7 seconds. By this statistic, one can say Xiaomi again won people’s heart with humble price tag in wearable tech market, reports IndianExpress.

The Mi Band is priced at 999 that is a budget price anyone can ask for because earlier, every other companies marketed their wearable gadgets at least 10,000. The price tag of 10,000 was considered to be a heft for a small gadget like smart band by many Indian. So, is it worth buying the new Xiaomi Mi Band?

Mi Fit App

The Mi Fit app is the trigger to the Mi Band which pairs with the Smartphone. The best part about this band is that it is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. The band is synced with the handset through Bluetooth, it is not necessary that Bluetooth on Smartphone must be switched on for the band to work. It can later sync with the phone to check the results.

The users have to sign in or create a new Mi account and then the app will ask for personal information such as gender, birthday, height and weight. The users should set a target between 2,000 and 30,000 footsteps.

The band notifies the incoming calls and messages; furthermore it can act as a silent alarm clock with vibration. These features will not work if the band is not under the phone’s Bluetooth range.
