Xiaomi Launches Mi 4 Priced At 20,000
BANGALORE: The wait is finally over! Xiaomi mi 4 is all suited up to be launched today in Delhi, verifying the earlier reports stating similar launch date. Xiaomi with its value-for-money concept has its mi 4 priced approximately at Rs 20,000, reports Tech 2.
The press invite for the Xiaomi phone interestingly compares the success of the new launch to that of winning scores on a cricket field. The press invite carried an illustration showing three stumps referring to Mi4’s potential success. Furthermore, the already launched Xiaomi Note (5.7-inch screen) is all set to hit the Indian market while the cricket reference attributes to a special tie up to the sport by the Chinese Smartphone maker.
Launched last year, Mi 4 has a pre-installed Android 4.4.3 KitKat and comes with MIUI OS skin. Featuring top-of-the-line specs packed with a 5-inch display and a high resolution, Mi 4 sports a protective Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It runs on a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor alongside a 3GB RAM. On the camera front, it models 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, a 4K video recording, a Sony BSI sensor and a 8MP front-facing camera along with Sony Exmor R sensor.
The device storage capacity can house either 16GB or 64GB of internal memory. In regards to connectivity, the device features a 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth GPS and a 3,080 mAh battery. The flagship phone measures presicely 139.2 x 68.5 x 8.9mm and weighs 149 grams.
Like most phones in Indian market, Mi4 is expected to make its appearance on e-commerce forum via Flipkart. The question remains whether this phone shares the same trait of having flash sale model like other Xiaomi devices.
